The government wants to build 1,069 homes a year in Tendring. At that rate, sustained for thirty years, that is 32,070 homes - +42% on the 76,074 dwellings already in the area.

There are 29 towns and villages in our list for Tendring. That is an average of 36.9 new homes a year across every settlement in the area - about 1,106 each over thirty years, if the annual figure were spread evenly.
