The government wants to build 687 homes a year in East Cambridgeshire. At that rate, sustained for thirty years, that is 20,610 homes - +50% on the 41,502 dwellings already in the area.

There are 29 towns and villages in our list for East Cambridgeshire. That is an average of 23.7 new homes a year across every settlement in the area - about 711 each over thirty years, if the annual figure were spread evenly.
